AUCTIONS SHOULD BE FUN! not sour, not rules, not 3 pgs. of fine print
1. Make it fun by making sure the auction quality is not lost. Never set Buy it Now price the same or so close to Minimal (Open) bid price. The adrenilin in winning or placing a BIN / BID the auction is totally lost if this scenario is present.
2. Having to scroll many paragraphs and/or pages to find pertinent item facts and to skim or skip "fine print" is a sour experience, to say the least. I always seek measurements and when my time is consumed by nonsense, the auction is placed way on the back burner.
No fun! ....when I'm fuming over the longtime search.
3. Fun is good pic(s), good price, and good information with sparsest of rules. Need I say more!
4. As an avid live auction attendee, the most fun in LIVE AUCTIONS is the adrenalin flowing while watching the frantic bidding by others or the intense "rush" of my own bidding. Computer auctions are similar for the bargain hunter. Also, are similar for the collector who finds great selection on eBay. These are just a few modes of fun in a computerized auction.
5. I find that the end of an eBay auction is extremely exhilerating and great excitement. I snipe bids 95% percent of the time. Those auctions which have 2-10 or more last minute bidders get the adrenalin up, to say the least. This is fun, but at times, frustrating, when loss of the high bid is involved.
