8/13/08   So what is an answer to increasing the supply of energy, while at the same time making the cost more palatable to everyone?  I firmly believe we must first change the source. We need to focus on one of our first sources of energy. One that I believe we should have never abandoned. In fact, had we continued to develope its potential over the last century, it would not be overpriced, dangerous, or harming our atmosphere. (I shall continue to share my energy solution in the very near future). Atticus Alberts         8/16/08  I'm back.   Have you guessed it yet? My answer is WATER. It covers 3/4 of our earths surface. I'm going far beyond steam. I'm not referring to the fresh water that comes from our five great lakes either. I am speaking of our oceans salt water.    I will return soon with more.  Atticus         It is now 8/18/08.  I am now going to randomly state some of the POWERS & ATTRIBUTES to WATER. Both positive & destructive. *Water sustains all plant, animal & human life. *It carries our ships with people (cruises), & tons of cargo to & from other lands, yet never needs to be repaved. *Water has created islands, mountains & valleys. *It can take down bridges, trees, & all man made structures. *It can help-or destroy crops. (as well as all life forms). *It has caused huge trucks & vehicles to slide off roadways. *It creates our clouds & rainfall. *Water takes on many forms, to include liquid, ice, steam, fog & clouds. *Water transports our destroyer warships & submarines. *It fills our plates with a variety of fish, lobster, shrimp & crab legs. *We use it to turn our turbines & derrive some electric energy. *Water is used to heat our dwellings via baseboard & radiators. *Water cools down factory machinery, as well as our vehicle engines. *Water is used for drinking & cooking.  My friends, the list goes on & on.   HAVE A GOOD DAY & I WILL CONTINUE SOON.   Atticus

8/19/08.  This is an election year. Someone will be elected & voted in to the highest position in the land, many will say. That position being the president of the United States.  On the much too long campaign trail, you've heard many candidates offer their solutions to our current energy problem. Solutions that include more drilling for oil, both on our lands & off shore. Build more refineries to change crude oil to gasoline, as our current capacity isn't enough. Build more nuclear plants. Expand our coal mining operations. Release oil from our governments stock of emergency strategic reserves. Temporarly suspend federal, state, & or county fuel taxes. Procure methods of mining shale & succreting its oil. Manufacture more field corn-based ethanol. This is also a list that goes on & on.  Have you heard any of these candidates, any of our current leaders, anyone in the energy business, or for that matter, anybody at all say: "Let's look to our unlimited supply of almighty water for our answers"?    Well remember where you heard it. The name is Atticus Alberts & this is to be continued...

8/20/08.  When I was writing yesterday, I neglected to list a couple of additional propositions that have been presented in the quest to solve our energy problems. Let's do more harnessing of the suns energy, with more & improved solar panels. Let's do more harnessing of the wind, with more & improved windmills. Let's put our abundant supply of natural gas to better & alternative uses. While reviewing the proposed energy solutions I've listed thus far, you may agree that some are good. I personally see potential to various extents in all of these proposals. We need to move forward in all of these fields & now.  With the price of gasoline currently dropping, (as of this writing), we don't want to make the same mistakes we did in the early 1970's.  Once the long lines at the pumps dwindled, it seems that all was forgotten, & we did little to prevent future occurances. Just who are the we that I am referring to that needs to move forward?   Until next time, Atticus Alberts                                                                         8/22/08. Are you ready for more?  The we are us, the American people. It seems that while we want more & more from our government on the one hand, we as a society constantly complain that we have too much government in our lives. I am pointing to our business people, our investors, our entreprenors & our industries.

Right now we have more millionaries & billionaries in this country than ever before. Even more importantly, however, we have more scientists, more engineers, more chemists & the most advanced technology in the world today. The private sector needs to invest & advance in not just one or two of the proposed energy solutions listed above, but in all of them & more. One of the more, namely, OCEAN WATER, shall be explored in my next writing.  Every person who has a belief in a certain field leading to the solution of our energy dilema, should be able to invest in their field of belief. It may be in the form of stock ownership, employment, education & marketing of same.     Until My Next Writing,  this is Atticus Alberts                                                       8/25/08.  Continuing on, why do I elude to the ocean as our answer to our energy needs? Because maybe I want to win the Nobel Prize... What I can share at this time however, is that the best minds we have in this country, & on this planet, must focus on ways that we can learn how best to turn our abundant supply of salt water into energy. It might be a chemical additive, maybe an engineering invention, or possibly a mixture with another resource already supplied by nature. I am a photographer, & a thinker. You are welcome to where you are. But those who have talents & interests in the fields of expertise needed to persue this quest, are urged to lunge forward. History shows that every great feat starts with an idea, an idea that is next acted upon.   This will be continued  in my next writing.     Atticus Alberts                                                                                                                                               9/4/08    I'm back & I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend.  Now back to ocean water. Even though I earlier discussed our many uses of water, & that we could continue to compile an extensive use list, from swimming in it, to putting out fires with it, I believe that we haven't yet scratched the surface in regards to future uses. There is so much of it, (water), with currently so many uses, that I make an analogy to the human brain. It is widely belived that we currently use only 5 to 10% of our brains capacity. I'm saying that we are currently only tapping 5 to 10% of our oceans' potential uses. TBC (to be continued)                                                                                                                                         Atticus Alberts

9/6/08.  How many things are really more powerful than water? As we attempt to better harness the wind & the sun for our energy needs, we really need to move quickly forward in harnessing the almighty power & energy of our oceans. I can see the gas combustion engine becomming a thing of the past with new designs totally powered with ocean water. (TBC)  Atticus Alberts ----   See the next guide entitled "Ocean Energy Is Our Future".  Thank You.
