THE FOLLOWING IS A COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL POETRY, AND SHORT STORIES, WRITTEN OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THE READER WILL WALK AWAY WITH FEELINGS RANGING FROM AMASEMENT TO AMUSEMENT, FROM WISDOM TO ASTONISHMENT, SOMETIMES SADNESS, JOY, OR HUMOR, & SO MUCH MORE. THIS ARRAY OF MIND STIMULATING THOUGHTS IS BEING SHOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME, ONLY HERE. . . (additions will be made regularly). #1.) Title: "A WAY TO DIE" There is a man named BaBoo; His favorite food was stew. He ate so much of it, because he did love it. Now he has a message for you! If you choose to follow his game, your life will never be the same. For eating stew every day and night, while even chewing it as well as you might, will cause your body to bloat. Then next you'll begin to float. Way up high in the sky, without the chance of saying goodbye. Farewell my friend, you've now reached the end, but you knew that we're all going to die... #2.) Title: "MEMORIES" The past does not always have to be dim. Back when we were both, youthful and slim. Even though many we loved are forever gone, and our thoughts do wander some nights until dawn. You see the past is made of memories we own. To do what we wish, while on our throne. No one can change them, as they are yours, & on some you will forever close the doors. Memories are both, happy and sad. They may be about your Mom and your Dad. Definitely, some we will cherish & keep. While others get thrown right into the heap. Many thoughts from the past are so awfully neat. Yet there never could possibly be a repeat. Some of the participants are no longer here, but our stories will still spread to many some cheer. Future memories of your past in a way, are now being made as you live each day. Do things today that will make you proud. So in a future memory you can laugh out loud........ #3.) Title: "WAKING UP" When you feel groggy, things seem foggy. When you first wake up, you think coffee will help. It may or it may not. You know you can't get much done yet. You even want to lay back down. Sometimes you do. You can't fall back to sleep, so you turn on the TV. You can't focus or pay attention to it though, because you're still groggy. You now have a cup of coffee in hand. It's too hot to gulp down. You just sip it - very small sips. It might have started to work. Something on television has caught your ear. Now you are taking bigger sips. You start to think about stuff. You even start to talk. Nobody is listening. The gulps are big now. Only half a cup left. You think about standing up. You hear the news and weather report. You can't change it. Another big gulp. The coffee is now gone. It has taken hold. It's time to get going... #4.) (short story) TITLE: "THE DEER & THE PENCIL" Once upon a time, a deer found a pencil. It was a #2, yellow and weathered. It needed to be sharpened & the eraser was worn thin. The deer in this story was a curious youngster, & his name was "Boo". He had never before owned his own pencil. Boo was so happy because he always wanted to be a deer writer. Then again, he thought that maybe he should locate & return it to its rightful owner. He decided to place this add in the local pennysaver. "Found: one used pencil. Meet me at the edge of the woods at 7:00 AM next Wednesday to claim it." It was at that place and time that the pencil was claimed by it's rightful owner. Boo was last seen walking back into the woods, and was never heard from again...... But that was on this side of the woods. Boo was so despondant that he had gone into hiding for several months. He was deep in the woods thinking about his missed opportunity of becomming a deer writer. It was not wasted time you'll realize, as this story unfolds. You see, even though Boo wasn't writing, he was thinking about things that he wanted to express on paper. Just how could he accomplish this! Poor Boo was pencil-less! (TBC)
