ebay has given buyers the impression that the middle star or a 4 star rating is average and ok. - It is NOT!!! If sellers get a 4 star rating average or lower they will be restricted by ebay and prevented from listing items. Their fees will be higher because they won't be getting a discount on fees. And their search standing for items will be lowered.
AND PLEASE RATE FREE SHIPPING AS A FIVE*****STAR RATING! You didn't pay for shipping so it is a very reasonable cost. Right? - Of course this is redundant because you got it free!
Remember that sellers have no control over post office shipping times. We are in an instant message and instant gratification society but it still takes time for your item to be shipped to you the old fashioned way. Shipping first class can take 3 to 7 days. Parcel Post can take up to 2 weeks! These shipping times are averages and many factors contribute to the speed of your mail delivery such as weather, natural disasters and even man made disasters. Also the distance between you and your seller is a major factor. Please keep all of this in mind when leaving your shipping star rating. Actually there shouldn't be a shipping star rating as it is our postal and delivery systems that are mostly responsible. I ship the same or next day and my shipping star should be a five but it isn't.
