so i bought a black keyboard to put into my white ASUS EEE 901 as a cosmetic modification. the keyboard was
bought from a well known seller called fido dido. At
first i was kind of worried that the keyboard quality would be worst
then the OEM quality keyboard that came with the laptop. when i
received the keyboard my first impression was WOW. The keyboard looked
like it was built sturdier then the OEM keyboard. The keys weren't
crooked and everything looked perfect. After the swap i thought that
the response wasn't as good as the OEM. i figured out my problem to
this, i reseated the keyboard ZIF which solved the problem 100%. The
keyboard doesn't not have any flex and it also feels a bit better then
the OEM keyboard when your typing. i remember i would get a bunch of
misspelled words with the OEM keyboard but now, the misspelled words
are because of my keyboarding skills. when typing for notes, it's
easier for my to keep up because i don't have to keep looking back for
mistakes.
this is a highly recommended product for people who want to give the WHITE 901 a bit more contrast and removed those chinese characters.
