I had just written several paragraphs here, and when I attempted to add a link to the article, I lost it! (everything I typed!) So, I am not going to repeat myself again, other than to caution buyers on eBay to be wary of toned coins if they are not certified by the top-3 grading services. Many times, I see someone on eBay selling this "coin-toner" and all his auctions are PRIVATE, so you can't tell who is buying this garbage...Then, I see a bunch of otherwise worthless (not 'worthless'...but just not worth as MUCH) coins selling beyond their typical book value for their grade.
Just watch out for those raw, toned coins. Those could be the people buying that liquid rip-off from those others who's main intention is to deceive and defraud.
