I see a lot of sellers refusing to ship to APO/FPO addresses. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? Are you really that lazy? Don't take this wrong, I am NOT trying to bash anyone. I want to educate you on how simple the process actually is.
In order to ship to a military APO/FPO you only have to take one extra step. There's a customs form to fill out at the post office. That's it! Yes, you'll have to get off of your arse & out of your store (or house) and go to the post. But if you think about it, the time it takes to get there & the 15 minutes it takes you to fill out that form, is NOTHING compared to what the person you're sending the item to has given up.
It doesn't matter if you agree with the war or not. Heck, it doesn't even matter if there is a war or not. What matters is that these people are putting their lives on the line 24/7. Even if they aren't on the front lines, they've given up their home lives & everyday family routines in order to protect our lazy butts! If you have an item that a member of our armed forces would like to have, why not take the extra time to fill out a simple form? You don't even have to go to the post office everyday, just go once a week & they'd still be happy! You might feel like it's a pain, or takes up too much of your business & time. But think about how little time you would actually have if our borders weren't protected by these people. How would your daily activities be if we had to worry about terrorists & invasions constantly? You wouldn't be shipping anything, you'd be at home protecting your loved ones & covering your butt! You have the time to run your daily business because these people are protecting your ability to do so.
Next time someone from our armed forces asks about shipping to an APO/FPO, say YES! Take the few minutes, fill out the papers, and give that person the little taste of home that they're looking for! At the very least, say yes just so they know that they aren't risking their lives for a population of people who don't appreciate what they're doing! Not only should you take the few minutes to fill out a piece of paper from the post office, you should take the time to thank each and every one of these people who contact you. Thank them for providing you with the everyday freedoms you've been taking for granted. Thank them for risking their lives so you don't have to. Thank them for protecting your sons, daughters, Mothers & Fathers. Thank them for leaving their families behind in order to protect yours. At the very least, just ship the damn item!~
