Greatings:
Be very carefull when bidding on bikes. I was bidding on a vintage dirt bike, and was out bid. Just days after the auction had ended I recieved an email witch looked like it came from Ebay saying the seller wanted to give a second chance offer for the, at my last bid. I went back and forth with emails, and noticed none of the names listed in the add were being used, and the email address always changed.
So, I contacted the seller directly and found out it was a scam that the seller had sold the bike. I notified ebay at once, but the problem with that is there are no phone numbers in which to contact any one at once. Ebay needs to revise this policy and have a live person for just this type of problem. By the time you email Ebay and wait for a response, some one could loose a fortune.
The email I got was so good, had I not checked the names and email address I would have been scamed.
Sincerely,
RBennen
