I have been making this treat for my family and friends for years. It is always well received. I do not let children have this because of the alcohol. You will need the following: Be sure to wear an Apron.
1 Small Bottle of Brandy or Large Depending on Taste
1 Jar of Red Cherries with the Stem
Chocolate Bark
Wax Paper
Drain the cherries but leave them in the jar. Cover the cherries with Brandy. Keep the empty brandy bottle. Let the cherries sit in the freezer overnight.
Sometime the next day. Melt your chocolate as directed on the package. Pour the melted chocolate in a Tupperware mixing bowl. Drain the brandy off of the cherries. Pour the Brandy into its bottle. You now have excellent cherry brandy. What a treat! Remove the cherries by the stem and dip into the chocolate. The chocolate will pull back a little from the stem and they make a gorgeous display with a little of the red showing thru. Set them on the wax paper. They are ready to serve immediately.
I found this in a Cook Book years ago. My family enjoys the cherry brandy almost as much as the cherries! Have Fun!
