Wyndham Fortuna is Grand Bahama only truly all-inclusive resort located on the south coast of Grand Bahama Island.   Located just 10 miles from Port Lucaya, far enough away from the hubbub yet close enough by taxi/rental car to enjoy the Casino & Port Lucaya Market Place - duty-free shops, bars & restaurants. Approximately 50 miles off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

Nestled on 23 acres of prime beachfront property with 1,200 ft of white sand beach with a Beachfront swimming pool & huge sundeck with poolside bar ... Plus ... you can snorkel the coral reef just off-shore at this resort.  Dive center on site at the resort and many water sports and land based activities including sand volleyball!

Wyndham Fortuna has over 275 rooms each featuring island-inspired decorative accents & amenities. Spacious resort featuring low-rise two story buildings onsite.  Adjoining rooms & cribs available upon request. Maximum occupancy is 4 people per room. 

Superior island view rooms w/patio or balcony with island resort garden views featuring two queen size beds, central air conditioning, color satellite TV, phone, bathroom w/shower, hair dryer, safe box, balcony or patio.

Kids Club for children ages 4 - 12 yrs ...  Affords parents the opportunity to steal some private moments alone while their children participate in supervised age-specific activities.  Kids just love it!  Open daily 10:00am to 5:00pm. Babysitting services are available for a nominal fee. 

   Dive center on-site ... Diving & Snorkeling

During you stay ... included in your vacation package ... a complimentary in-pool introductory scuba diving lesson to all guests. 

If you are interested in becoming a diver ...  you can take the certification course and become a certified open water diver during your stay.  (Dive courses are additional cost see below).  Diver center is located at the resort on the beach, open 7 days, 8:30am to 5pm.

Snorkeling ... is also available right off the beach, snorkel gear is available for rental, but you might want to bring your own for best fit.  The reef is located a short distance out from the beach. 

Wyndham Diving also offers ... guided snorkel tours ... cost is approx $25 per person, along the coast of the Grand Bahama Island. Daily snorkel trips leave at 12:00pm in front of the Viva Wyndham Diving Center.  The fast boats ensure a safe and comfortable five-minute ride. You will reach the shallow site reefs where you can find all the wonders of the Caribbean Sea at a depth between 10/15ft, 3/5m. Snorkel for about one hour. Return time is around 1:30pm. You must have a reservation. You meet at the Wyndham Diving center at 11:45am, you will receive your snorkeling equipment, pay for your trip & be given a snorkeling trip brief. The price includes boat trip and snorkeling equipment.

Optional rentals:  Full Dive Gear rental (US$30) or individual prices include wet suit (US$4), BCD (US$4), Regulator (US$4), Fins/boots (US$3), mask and snorkel (US$3). 

DIVING ...

All the dive sites (from 20 to 100 feet deep) along the coast of Port Lucaya are populated with sea turtles, horse eye jacks, tarpons, green morays, spotted eagle rays. Manta ray, nurse sharks, bull shark and whale sharks can also be found, especially during the winter months

A certified PADI Instructor or Divemaster is at all times underwater with the divers, and the maximum rate diver/dive guide is 6 to 1. Boat rides are of 35 minutes maximum in a Catamaran of 10 pax (26" by 10"), safety features such as Oxygen and VHF available on the boat. 

The staff consists of international teams with English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish and Italian speaking PADI certified instructors and divemaster.

Daily dive trips that leave in front of the Wyndham Dive Center at Wyndham Fortuna Beach. Fully equipped, fast boats. A certified PADI instructor or divemaster is underwater with the divers at all times, and the maximum diver/dive guide ratio is 6 to 1.  Boat rides are a maximum of 35 minutes.

Pricing (USD) is $39 for one dive, $66 for two dives and pricing includes tanks and weights. Special pricing available for more than two dives.

8:30am (two-tank dive) - a deep dive (around 60/90ft 18/30m)  1:30pm (one-tank dive) - a shallow dive (40/50ft 12/16m)

7:00pm (Night Dive) - a shallow dive (40/50ft 12/16m) ($55)

Dive Gear rental prices per dive $USD include: Wet suit ($4), BCD ($4), Regulator ($4), Fins, Mask & Snorkel ($3) each.
