The cabinet is contructed of metal and durable but the unit is heavy at 45 lbs.  The prefilter is ineffective and difficult to change and the carbon and Hepa filters are combined into one filter.  The Health Mate HM 400 incorporated a long lasting HEPA filter (depending upon application).  Unit is ineffective at protecting against harmful microorganisms.

This unit is somewhat effective against airborne allergens but lacks the ability to handle heavy odors such as cigarette smoke.  Cleanable electrostatic colletor plate - needs to be done frequently for best performance.  There is no filter change alert.  The filter has minimal effects on odor or VOC's.
