Starting in 2004 the Topps Company started putting AFLAC Redemption cards into packs of their Bowman, Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects, and Bowman Chrome products.  If you pull one of these redemption cards out you could sell it on Ebay or you could fill in the back with the correct information and mail it into the Topps Company.  In return you will get a set of cards that feature only those players who played in the AFLAC All-American High School Baseball Classic game, have been drafted in the MLB First Year Player Draft, and who have signed all applicable contracts.

This set can take almost a year for you to get depending on when you send in the redemption card.  These cards will feature players that have great potential and could make it into the big leagues.  There are a lot of different versions of AFLAC Redemption cards that you could pull out.  Some AFLAC Redemptions are rarer than others.  Below is a list of the different types of AFLAC Redemption cards that can be pulled out (from most common to least common):

Bowman
Bowman Chrome
Bowman Chrome Refractor
Bowman Chrome X-Fractor
Bowman Chrome Blue Refractor
Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor
Bowman Red - 1/1
Bowman Chrome Red Refractor - 1/1
Bowman Chrome Superfractor - 1/1

The players that are included in the 2004 set are:

C.J. Henry

John Drennen

Beau Jones

Jeff Lyman

Andrew McCutchen

Chris Volstad

Jonathan Egan

P.J. Phillips

Steve Johnson

Ryan Tucker

Cameron Maybin

Shane Funk

Players that are in the 2005 set are:

BILLY ROWELL

CHRIS MARRERO

 KASEY KIKER

 JEREMY JEFFRESS

 KYLE DRABEK

 CHRIS PARMELEE

 COLTON WILLEMS

 CODY JOHNSON

 HANK CONGER

 CODY RASMUS

 DAVID CHRISTENSEN

 CHRIS TILLMAN

 TORRE LANGLEY

 ROBBY ALCOMBRACK

People who sent in their 2004 AFLAC Redemption cards received 12 cards in their set.  Those 2004 AFLAC Redemption cards are now expired and the only way you can aquire a 2004 set is to buy a set from someone who sent in the 2004 AFLAC Redemption.  AFLAC Redemption cards are a great idea for just everyday collectors or heavy duty prospecting collectors.  The newer sets will not be able to be obtained through a redemption card.  You could have picked up a set at the AFLAC All-American High School Baseball Classic game.  But, once all the players from that set sign all their contracts Topps will be inserting their autographed AFLAC set cards into a new product.  If you liked this guide please check out my Prospecting Guide
