You may run into a situation where the figure you own is complete -including all accessories, possibly still in it's original, opened packaging - but "needs" a little something extra to increase it's display, play or resale value.

For example, let's say you collect 12" scale military figures (historically based or otherwise).  You own several complete, display-quality figures and would like to arrange them in a winter-battle diorama (with vehicles and other accessories, for instance).  You can easily find rare and custom (designed - or "kitbashed" - by toy collectors looking to create a one-of-a-kind figure, action setting/scene, etc.) acessories on eBay to make that figure stand out.  One example I found were these authentic-looking woven gray gloves to be used with the Dragon German BBI Fallschirmjager "Battle of the Bulge" figure, pictured below.  This is yet another way that eBay makes it easy to find that perfect acessory for your prized figures!
