In todays antique bottle collecting world you really have to ask yourself how important/necessary the 100's of antique bottle pricing guides are to collectors. I am not trying to bash these pricing guides, as they are useful to a point. Some of them contain a wealth of knowledge about what bottles are out there to be collected and others give descriptions and details of what each bottle actually was or contained. The point of this message is this: can one actually put an estimated value on an antique bottle in todays collecting world? I strongly feel the value of a bottle is 100% determine by how much importance it has to that specific collector? I can't tell you how many times I have seen a bottle that has a book value of $5 sell for $30 and vise versa. Another factor I should mention is the use of computers and information technology in todays society. You can find almost anything you want to know about anything free of charge on your computer as long as you have access to the internet. Again, I am not down-playing the use of antique bottle guides, I am just saying that these books are in fact guides. The value of a certain old bottle is, and always will be determined by SUPPLY & DEMAND of the market. So don't get hung up at what the umpteen bottle books have for prices in them. If you look up the same bottle in three different price guides you may find three different prices and a $100 difference in each price! Thanks for your attention!
P.S. EBAY IS CREATED BY A BUNCH OF LEFT WING LIBERAL POWER HUNGRY MONEY MONGERS! THEY LIKE TO HARRASS SELLERS AND GIVE BUYERS THE POWER TO HARRASS GOOD SELLERS BY MAKING IT SO SELLERS CANNOT LEAVE FEEDBACK! SOON THERE WILL BE NO SELLERS LEFT TO SELL AND EBAY WILL BE NO MORE! EBAY SUCKS!
