Diaper smell in the nursery...
Ha, what a long story.
Bought every diaper pail known to mankind and still have a dirty diaper smell in your nursery?
Here is what I did.
I bought
- a simple plastic waste basket (guess whatmine does not even have a lid!) better with a tight fitting lid but not necessary,
- plenty of plastic bags (trash bag or free grocery plastic bag here the recycling!)
and
-the best ODOR REMOVER you can find.
I said odor REMOVER not a "masking odor" spray,.
The kind used by hospitals (ie in critical care units where adult patients have bowels movements in bed ) is best.
The one I use is called M9 odor eliminator spray by Hollister, go to any kind of medical supply store or ostomy supply store or web site and you will find it for $10 or so.
I love it.
One bottle last a month or two, cheaper than the refill for the diaper pails.
I put the offensive diaper in a plastic bag, close it and spray onto and/or the room (if it stunk up the room!) and at the end of the day (can go as much as 2 or 3 days.. when Daddy is in charge) put the bags in the trash.
You can also use it to remove other bad odors in your house and your regular trash container.
