What is a Yankee Candle Tart?
They are all over ebay...what the heck are they?
-
A Yankee tart is a piece of scented wax without a wick for use in tealight or electric powered tart warmers (often called tart burners)
-
The tart is placed in the warmer to heat and melt, this releases the fragrance into the room!
-
Each Yankee tart will provide about 8 hours of fragrancing each, filling your room and home with fabulous fragrance that only a Yankee Candle can provide.
-
Never use a 'potpouri' burner as it may overheat the wax. (the ones you put the dried stuff in)
-
Use a ventilated candlelit burner (or proper electric tart warmer) without a lid, it should have at least a 2 1/2" top opening
-
To change fragrances, extinguish the flame or turn off your electric warmer and allow it to cool completely, then place in freezer for about a half an hour and the wax will shrink and 'pop' out easily. Be sure to let your warmer reach room temp before lighting up a new scent to prevent cracking of your warmer.
Important note: When melting your candle tarts, never leave them unattended!
