Inventory spaces in a mule character of Diablo 2 game is very limited. After a significant number of magic-find runs, we always come up with a large number of good unique items. If we can hold one(1) more item per our mule character, that will be very nice. Below is a small tip for you to hold one(1) more item per mule character.
The method
- You first use a mule character, which has no inventory space left in its body inventory and stash (this means all inventory spaces has been used up to store items), to create a private game with password.
- Second, you use another mule character to get into the game and then drop the one(1) additional item which you want the first mule character to store, on the ground.
- Third, move the first mule character towards the item and press I to open the body inventory screen of this character.
- Fourth, use the cursor(i.e. the hand with gloves) to pick up the item and hold the item on air.
- Fifth, press ESC key on the keyboard to escape and save the character;
- Now you have successfully hold one more item on that mule character
- WARNING HERE! However, please be reminded that (1) you MUST NOT do this act while you are having a bad internet connection NOR while the battlenet is laggy in game playing because there is a big chance of losing the item which you drop on ground(before your mule character picks up the item) once the game suddently gets disconnected; (2) you MUST also keep another mule character in the same game which you are doing this act. In case you do not successfully hold the item on air and the item drops back on ground, you still have another mule character to pick it up back from ground; (3) you MUST create a private game to do this act in order to prevent other players from picking up the item which you drop on ground; (4) you SHOULD hold a 8-spaces item on air in order to maxmize the number of spaces which you want to save, (5) you MUST NOT hit any key when you use this mule character to reenter a new public game as the item will then drop on the ground again and other players will pick up the item without saying thanks!
Hope this little tip helps you a bit! Good luck in your game playing!
