I was taken by surprise to see how few people take advantage of a free opportunity offered by eBay. It seemed even more surprising to me that 100s of Guide and Review writers don't bother with it. To me, it's a golden opportunity, yet surprisingly few people use it. On the left side of every guide and review is a picture. Most of the time it's the default logo: Orange Outline of a Male Figure with a wavy multi-color line below. There are several other choices that eBay offers. But there is also the chance to download and use your own Logo, Photos or Artwork.

It occured to me that some people might not realize where the pictures come from or how to change them. If you click on your user name when you go to you "My eBay" area, that will take you to a section called "My World". In there you can tell other eBayers all about yourself. Your products can be seen and your feedback can be read. There is also a list of the guides you have written. Up in the upper left hand corner is a place to select a different logo or download your own.

This little guide is here with a single purpose: to encourage everyone who reads or writes guides and reviews, to create your own Logo Picture. One that best describes who you are on eBay. What do you sell? Or what do you buy? What reviewed subjects are you interested in?

If you're like me, you have dozens or maybe 100s of .jpgs in your eBay file. Below are just a few of the Logos I design, photos as well as some examples of my Photography and my Artwork. I am not here to sell logo designs, but just to suggest a simple little idea that is free for the taking. And that is to consider using your own logo, artwork, or favorite photo. It will make the guides more interesting to navigate through. A unique logo is a great benefit to anyone who shares their ideas, writes helpful guides or reviews products.

I am sure everyone who reads this guide will also have many .jpgs that would be perfect for the job. There's an old saying about pictures. It goes: One picture is worth1000 words. So, what 1000 words do you want to tell the world about yourself? If you want to see what I mean, goto: The eBay Review & Guide Homepage . There, along the right side will be a list of the newest, most recent guides. And there, you will almost certainly find several orange guys with multi-colored, wavy lines below. So if you are using the eBay default logo, why not consider replacing yours with one that is very uniquely you. And it's free too. How cool is that?
