Are you tired of hearing, reading and seeing all the different advice on losing weight and feeling better?  From my own personal experience, plus seeing results in friends and relatives, I have a simple suggestion to offer (although it may not seem to simple to achieve at first):  If it's man-made, don't eat it.  Making this one change in your diet, which is really a lifestyle change, can make all the difference in your weight and health.

Some suggestions:  If it's white, i.e. sugar, flour, salt, potatoes, rice, bread, don't eat it.  Eat brown rice, stone ground whole wheat, 100% whole wheat bread, sweet potatoes, sea salt, and unrefined evaporated cane juice sugar.  Read labels...if you can't pronounce an ingredient don't eat it.  Buy as many products as you can find that are labelled organic.   Look at the stickers on loose produce.  If the sticker  has a number that begins with "4", the product has been grown using chemicals of various kinds.  Numbers on organic fruit stickers will begin with a "9". You may be amazed at how much better the organic produce tastes. There are so many chemical additives found in our foods today that can cause a myriad of problems.

We all have hectic lifestyles these days but try as much as possible not to use convenience foods.  Making meals from scratch can be a fun and learning experience for the family, as well as having obvious health benefits.  Take the time to really enjoy eating the meal, and conversing with your friends or family.  Or if dining alone, taking the time to enjoy a meal you've made fresh yourself can be a relaxing end to a busy day.

For almost two years now, I have eliminated most (but not all) "man-made" items from my pantry.  And I eat alot.......organic fruits and vegetables, and snacks too, all throughout the day. I do occasionally eat organic meat/poultry 1-2 times a week, in small amounts. (No, I'm not a vegan.  I admire them but just don't have that much determination).   Although losing weight wasn't my original intention, I lost 15 lbs very quickly and have had no trouble keeping it off.  I do walk 3-5 times per week for about 30 minutes.  (Not enough, I know).  In two years, all my sinus and allergy problems have gone away, I have more energy, and nearly weekly headaches have disappearred.  When literally everyone I worked with was sick with colds and sore throats, I never had even the sign of a sniffle.  (My immune system isn't busy trying to rid itself of all the chemicals, and can focus on what it was designed for).

I invite everyone to give these few suggestions a try for even a month.  You have nothing to lose - well, except maybe some unwanted pounds and lots of chemicals.  I believe that you'll find yourself feeling so much better you just may change the way to eat for good.
