So many complain about the offering plate passing around these days. What people don't realize is that your time can be used to offset some of your offering as well. This applies to your prayer, biblical study, service to the church, service to those in need, and your job. Yes your job. Why not make a First Fruits Offering of your good Job Performance to The Lord? This resurrects the time honored work ethic, only now it is as a Time Offering. This becomes a treasured living sacrifice rather than a repulsive dead one. You can turn your good job performance into a First Fruits Offering to The Lord. This in effect becomes a type of personal bond between you and The Lord. Your good performance becomes a testament to it. So many say "If You Love me, then show me." Well here's another opportunity to show the Lord your love, this time through your good & faithful work. You don't necessarily have to announce that you are doing this, just make the decision and start doing it. Put your best work forward for The Lord. Try not to slack off once you make up your mind to do it. And please don't make a commitment you don't intend to keep. Better if you don't make a stated commitment in the first place; than to slip up and break a commitment with The Lord. The best thing to do is just say each day "I'm putting forth my best work today for The Lord," in your heart and then do it.
