Is there really a perfect time or day to start and end listings???
I've heard many thoughts and opinions on this. Some say Sunday nights are great to start and end listings because a lot of people are home during that time and this is when eBay traffic is higher. Some say that Saturdays aren't good because people are out doing their weekend things and not shopping online. One person suggested ending childrens clothes at a later time because most moms will have time to get on the computer after the little ones are in bed. And then I have a fellow eBay friend who's a Power Seller who prefers to list on Wednesday evenings between 7pm-8pm PST and sometimes on Tuesday and/or Sunday nights.
I think auctions usually get the most bids at the very beginning or at the very end. The last 10 minutes are usually the most exciting, especially if you have one or more persons engaging in a bidding war for your item.
eBay charges a fee to schedule listings but with Auctiva, it's FREE! This can definitely be a very valuable tool. You may be up at 7am or 2am but you certainly don't want to begin/end auctions during those time frames.
Consider the different time zones as well. I've played around with many times and days but have yet to find the "perfect" one. Is there really such a thing?
