A PAINTING IS NOT A PAINTING UNLESS YOU PAINTED IT. CORRECT?
I could look at all the aceo's for hours. I especially like the original ones. Does'nt matter if they are painted with acyrlic, oil, water colour, permanent marker, there are a lot of talented people. I've won several and paid more for these than any other aceo's I've purchased only to learn from a local artist they are not actual paintings. They are created in a bowl of water, acyrlic and/or oil mixture. Get a bowl of water. Add a little paint, mix it around a little, lay your 2 1/2x 3 1/2 card on it, pick it up. You now have a unique looking creation. Of course if your really talented you can get creative and make shapes- lets say hearts out of the drops of paint in the water. But did you paint this? I say NO, You created this but it is not a painting. So when looking at all the beautiful aceo's keep in mind what are you willing to spend on something that is a print, a copy, a painting, or a "creation".
I would not have paid $7.00-$26.00 for one single creation when I was looking for original paintings, Would you know the difference by looking at it? I suspect a lot of people would not. Just because it's advertised as an original painting does'nt mean it is. I hope somebody finds this review educational.
