Everything I learned about Attacktix I learned from my kids, and Hasbro. :)
Some basic info you need to know:
The Attacktix Battle Figure game is a collectible action figure game featuring characters from the Star Wars saga. They are marketed by Hasbro.
Marvel Comics will be doing some of their action figures as attacktix in 2007. GI Joe is rumored to be coming after that.
These figures have special weapons, like force push projectiles, missile projectiles, hand-swiping action, and Lightsaber swinging motion.
The object of the game is to be the player with the last figure standing.
The youngest player goes first.
The Figure's base tells a figure's Attacktix Class, Faction, Name, Speed, Point Value, and Special Power.
A special figure's base is chrome or gold instead of the black one.
Every figure in Attacktix has a point value, and it's always in multiples of ten.Figures with higher point values usually have more powerful attacks, better defenses, or better special powers. (This is why Yoda is so hard to get- he is a 30 pt. figure.)
There are three types of attack:
Launcher, Striker,and Possessor.
The classifications are: Trooper, Specialist, Warrior, Captain, Leader or Mega.
Tix is the patented clicking sound the figures make when their bottom wheel moves forward or backward. It is also an abbreviation of Attacktix.
The battle case can be used to store the figures, display the figures, or serve as the battlefield. The Battle Case came with an exclusive Green Clone Sergeant figure, a flag and a double-barreled cannon. (You really need 3 cases to put them together for a multi stage battlefield!)
You can use a figure's weapon as a "leg" ("tripod")in order to provide a better defense.
Booster Packs are packaged so that you're not able to see what figures are inside.
Transformers Attacktix are new.
Medic Droid figure can return defeated figures to play.
