After an exhausting  run your butt off vacation to Orlando with our young children 19 years ago, I was done with that kind of vacation forever.  I came home broke, tired and exhausted.. I decided to give Mexico and its wam sunny beaches a try the next year. AM I glad we did.

We wanted a laid back vacation trip with some occasional exciting day trips.  Just enough to keep the blood flowing.  We were suprised to discover we could fly the whole family to Mexico for a week and stay in 4 and 5 star hotels, cheaper than dring 90 miles up the road to Minneapolis and  doing hotels, foood and the Mall of  America for week.  OF COURSE, IT WAS MUCH WARMER IN JANUARY!

Now after 30 plus trips to all the major Mexican tourist areas, we still look forward to visitng south of the  border every chance we can.  It doesn't matter if it's Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Playa Del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta or Puerto Aventuras, Mexico has something warm and exciting for everyone. Snorkeling, diving, surfing, adventure, or lounging on the beach wihta beer in your hand, it's all there for you to grab and take at reasonalbe prices.

Most imporatntly you need to get a passport.  That's not hard to do. Just go down to your post office or courthouse and they will be able to advise, but do this well in advacne of your planned trip out of the USA!  Next you might try a travel guide or talk to a travel agent.  We do all our own-line travel booking on-line now and save big $$$
