A Guide to the Z Bra and Z Bra Collection
Traditionally, a bra is worn under clothing as a form of support. What if someone designed a bra that was meant to be visible depending on the type of clothes you were wearing? Most women turn to strapless bras when wearing dresses or tops that expose their shoulders. The Z-Bra collection offers a different approach with a number of varying possibilities.
What is the Z-Bra collection? Designed by the Los Angeles based duo of Bony Levy and Orit Eckstein, this collection of bras uses its straps as accessories. Made from fresh water pearls, their straps come in a myriad of different styles and are designed to be seen. Interchangeable, each strap can be replaced depending on the mood or style of clothes being worn. In fact, each piece is a uniquely hand-crafted design that is anything but ordinary.
Who are the individuals behind the Z-Bra? Bony and Orit, as they are popularly known, are jewelry designers who are most recognized for their creation of the Carriere jewelry collection. Together, their goal was to provide women with an alternative to plain bra straps and give them another opportunity to showcase their inner style. The result is a number of collections, each of which offers a simple, yet elegant look.
One of the interesting aspects of the Z-Bra collection is that the straps are interchangeable. Since they are delicate objects, they should always be removed prior to washing the bra. In fact, the manufacturers even offer a mannequin on which they can be safely stored.
