A Guide to the Different Ways to Customize Your eBay Store
I have realized that there are many people who are not aware of the different options eBay makes available to us to customize our store. This is a short guide to help those who wish to brand thier store with a personalized look.
Store Logo
A store logo is 310X90 pixels in size. Depending on your settings you can show your logo on your main store page, auctions, and your catagory pages. Below is an example of a logo shown on an auction:
Store Header
A Store Header is simular to the logo but will go completely across your store front. It is entered into ebay using HTML so there are many options available such as adding important links for your customers. This will show on your stores main page, catagory pages, and Me pages. Below is an example of a Store Header:
Store Front
A Store Front is the very first page your customers will see when they enter your store. The options available for your store front are endless. You can put information about your company, policies, sales information. A great thing ebay has included for your store are eBay specific HTML tags that you can use to Highlight some of your items on your store front, add some of your feedback, and specific areas of your store. Below is an example of a Store Front:
Custom Navigation
eBay has a navigation in your stores so people are easily able to find your items. They also allow you to have a custom Navigation so that you may incorporate your design into it. The custom Navigation is inserted using HTML. Below is an example of a custom navigation:
Auction Templates
eBay has quite a bit of templates available to you for your auctions. But, you are also able to use your own to match your store design. This is entered using the HTML in the auction builder. The options available to you are amazing. You can enter as many images as you want, design it to match your store, design it to match your item, add important links etc. Whats great too is with eBays new listing editor you are able to save your templates to eBay for future auctions! Below is an example of a custom template:
Additional Customized Pages
Depending upon the type of store you have, eBay provides you with optional customizable pages. You can create pages for just about anything you need. Some examples are a store policies page, sale pages, galleries, and important announcements. Below is an example of a Customized Page that was made into a gallery:
Me Page Customization
Your ME page is also 100% customizable to match your store. This is a great place to give your customers a little background about yourself. eBay has a convenient feature to use if you are unsure how to customize your Me page.
Blog Design
eBay has made it so that you can also encorporate your design into your blog! Although the options are not in abundance, they give you plenty of room to make your blog show your personality. Below is an example of a customized blog:
