Why stop with just Fabulous Foods? This guide has been created to help you create Napkin Folds that will make your table look as good as your food tastes.
All the napkin folding designs have step by step instructions, so you can easily do them at home. Most can be accomplished with cloth, linen or paper napkins.We recommend linen napkins for the very best folds and they are easy, inexpensive and better for the environment.
Napkin Fold 1: Tuxedo
- Roll the first layer of top point down to the center.
- Roll the second layer down and gently tuck it behind the first roll.
- Roll the third layer down and behind the second to create a third band of equal width.
- Rotate the napkin 45 degrees and fold the right and left edges behind the napkin to form a rectangle.
Napkin Fold 2: Stack Fold
- Lay folded napkin on diagonal with points on bottom. Lift point to within 3/4" of top edge.
- Lift remainder of layers and fold 3/4" from layer above. Repeat thru 4 layers.
- Turn napkin over, fold corner to center of back, repeat with other side. Turn napkin over place in glass.
Napkin Fold 3: Fan Fold
- Completely open napkin and lay flat, fold up to within 3/4" from top edge.
- Turn napkin on end, accordion fold with 1-1.4" folds.
- Turn napkin so folds are vertical, fan and place in glass.
Napkin Fold 4: Diamond Fold
- Place the napkin in a diamond shape, with the open corner points up and fold the first layer of the top point down to meet the bottom point.
- Fold that same point up to meet the center line.
- Fold the second layer of the top point down to meet the center line.
- Fold the side points back and away from you so that they overlap in the back.
Napkin Fold 5: Shell Fold
- Place the napkin in a diamond shape with the open corner points facing down. Starting at the bottom, pick up the first layer of the napkin and bring it up to meet the top point.
- Bring the second layer of the bottom to 1.2" from the top point. Repeat with the remaining layers, spacing each equally.
- Flip the napkin over. The point should now be facing down.
- Fold the top right and left corners down to meet in the middle.
