A Guide to Discount Patio Furniture
You have paved over your patio with stone slabs or mortar, and now you want to decorate it with hanging plants, brick barbeques , games for the kids, and patio furniture. Whether you have designed an open Spanish style patio for an outside courtyard, or you are merely looking for a place to lounge in the sun, here are some tips to get started. First, plot out how you want to use the space before you go shopping. If you invest in a cushy couch, foot rests, and a large grill without measuring first, you could have to resell your items.
Second, consider whether you want to install a screen over your porch. Bug netting can make a big difference to your patio lifestyle. Similarly, figure out if you want to install an awning or overhang on your patio. Some high-end furniture can get damaged by wind, snow, and rain. You may want to invest in covers, weather proofing elements, and stain to keep your furniture in shipshape.
That said, you can purchase used, weathered, and even moldy furniture from sellers at a great discount and then rehabilitate fine pieces for outdoor use. Look for good quality lumber, durable fabrics (preferably those which can withstand some rough environmental factors), and warranties. Getting rid of furniture rust can be difficult, so do not purchase rusty pieces unless you have the time and attention to rehabilitate them.
Finally, consider the color scheme of your patio. If you are decorating with lots of greens and pinks, find solid colors that mesh well with that aesthetic. Remember--you can paint over wood, but it can be expensive to replace wrong colored fabrics.
