A Guide to Buying 1999-2000 Pacific Crown Royale

The 1999-2000 Pacific Crown Royale is a continuation of Pacific's
die cut crown cards.  This set has a main set of 144 cards that
make up the base set.  There are also 6 subsets and 3 variations
of the main set.  

Main Set

This set continues Pacific's tradition of the crown royale set.
These cards have been die cut in the shape of a crown.  The cards
have a picture of the player on the front, along with the team
logo and the palyers name.  The main rookies in this set are
Frankhouser, Stefan, Sapriykin, Calder, Novoseltsev, Fisher,
Gagne, Hecht, Nagy, Antropov, and Kariya.  The three types of
parallel cards are Limited Series, Premiere Date,and Prospect
Parallel.  The Limited Series cards are numbered to 99.  The
Premier Date cards are run at 73, and the Prospect Parallel cards
are numbered to 450.

Inserts

Card Supials

The odds of finding a card from this insert was 2 cards per
25 packs.  These cards are foil edged and have a small pouch
on the back of them.  You get a large card and then a tiny
card of another player on the back.  There are 20 cards in this
set (both large and small).

Cramer's Choice Jumbos

These cards were inserted at a rate of 1 card per box of cards.
They are shaped in the form of a pyramid.  There are very rare
parallels in this insert that are numbered /10. 

Centry 21

This set is an interesting set to celebrate the start of the 21st
centry.  There are 10 cards in the set and they are limited
numbered out of 375.  They have foil edging and are really nice.

Gold Crown Die Cut Jumbo's

This 6 card subset are a huge crown.  They are found at a
rate of 6 out of 10 boxes having a card.  1 Card per box.
Roy is the highest priced player at $20.00

Ice Elites

This set was inserted at 1 per box.  This set is a 20 card
set that features 20 of the elite players in the league.
There is a parallel set that is numbered out of 10.  These
cards are worth 200 times the base price of that card in the
set.

International Glory

These 25 cards are found 1 card per pack.  These cards are
the picture of the star player in front of their national
flag.  It is a very nice set that also has a parallel that
is numbered to 10.  These parallel cards are worth 150 times
the base price of the normal card.

This is a very nice base set.  They have also included a
great variety of parallel cards and inserts.  This makes the
collecting value of this set very high.  A true treat for any
collector.
