I remember several years ago a business on eBay had a chance to sell a great product AND make a profit. Today it seems like more and more individuals are selling on eBay, as a small business. This means a greater deal for the buyer because the number ONE action the newbie seller does to generate business and feedback is....SELL CHEAPER than the competition.
A buyers market.
EXAMPLE: newbie seller cleans out the house and sells a few items on eBay and decides, this is an easy way to make money. newbie seller lays out a plan, buys a piece of equipment, buys the material, and begins listing and marketing the product. (I wont go into the marketing techniques because most of us are familiar with this type anyways...like: cheapest on eBay or slamming the competition.) The buyer, comparing several listings of the same item clearly purchases the lowest priced item (the American way) from newbie seller.
Buyer is happy with the savings. Newbie seller is happy to have sold the item and receive another positive feedback. Competitors AND newbie seller are not happy, because no one made a profit from the sell except the buyer.
Buyers enjoy your purchasing powers while you still have them, but remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
Sellers need to compete on a better level and not leave so much $$$ on the plate.
