A Guide To Buying Bras

Today there is a bra for every occassion and for every outfit. In this guide, I will give you some basic tips to choosing a special bra for special outfits.

Halter Tops

If you are wearing a halter top, a five way bra is a good choice. A five way unlined bra gives you a good choice of strap configurations. You can wear it several difference ways, depending on your choice of halter tops.

Low Necklines

If you are wearing a blouse with a low neckline a deep curve plunging bra is a good choice, the bra should have  a deep plunge in the center.

Sheer Blouses

If you are wearing a sheer blouse, you can wear a bra with a matching camisole or a built in camisole.   A nude color camisole works best if you want a sheer look.

Low back Dress

If you are choosing a low back dress, it is possible to get a bra with a variety of strap configurations, similar to the halter bra.  you can use it as a halter or a cross back. You can also purchase a bra with an invisible back band. The band then doesn't show with low plunging dresses. 

Cutaway Top

If you are wearing a blouse that is sleeveless or has cutaway sleeveless, a razor back bra is a good choice.  These are similar to a sports type top and the bra straps stay put and never have to be pulled back up!

Close fitting top, T-shirt

You can choose a t-shirt bra, but basically a smooth seamless bra is an excellent choice. A nice microfiber or sateen bra is smooth and clothing sits nicely on these bras and give you a very smooth look. Great for under sweaters or t-shirts.
