Are you looking to purchase a Valve Spring Compression tool? Take caution in what you choose. I have wasted so much money on tools, while trying to save money. My experience was with a tool advertised as model 50602. I bought it because the cheap price enticed me. It does not have a brand name marking on it, and only says made in Taiwan. It was polished and had a red rubber handle. This tool was absolutely no good.
This tool did not even last the duration of one job. I was able to get one valve out of my VW Bug, before the tool broke. The threaded adjuster skipped a thread and wont move. The metal is so flimsy that the handle on the adjuster even bent with just my hand. I couldn't even get channel-locks to free it up. The tool was also very hard to operate. The small handle was barely enough leverage to get the tool clamped down.
This item was falsely advertised to me as a high quality professional tool. Two way adjustment. Quick and easy compress and release. None of that was even remotely true.
