Many don't realize that the law of seed time and harvest is just as sure as the law of gravity. For instance, if someone doesn't believe that the law of gravity exists, they can jump off of a ten story building and will still fall to the ground and splat all over the place! It's a sure thing! It will happen regardless of their belief. The same is true for the law of seed time and harvest. You see whatever we sow, we will reap. Once you can establish this into your everyday discission making you might think twice about your actions! This applies to everything in our lives. Say for instance that you are a thief and you go around stealing from people. Guess what? You will have a harvest of 30,60 or 100 fold. That means that for every 1 thing you take, 30-60 or even 100 things will be taken from you! On the other hand, if you give $1.00 to a worthy cause, you will be given $30, $60 or even $100 in return! When we plant a seed of any kind we don't just get one piece of fruit from the tree, we get hundred's of pieces! Not only that but each of those pieces have many more seeds that you can either choose to plant or to eat! Every farmer knows that he needs to save a certain amount of his harvest to plant again next year. He never eats all of his seed. That would be foolish! So doesn't it make sense to plant a percentage of what we are blessed with to create a harvest for us later? There are a few rules that go along with this that you must keep in mind:

#1. You can not plant watermelons and get a harvest of corn!

#2. Bad seed will produce bad fruit!

#3. Weed seed grows faster than anything else, is completely destructive and takes a long time to completely get rid of. You must get to the root of the weed to completely obtain freedom from it!

#4. You must plant in good soil and water regularly in order to obtain a good harvest.

#5. Giving of the first of your crop will insure that your needs will be met.

#6. You can not get a harvest if you don't plant seed!

For best results plant seeds of love, friendship, time, care, harmony, justice, righteousness, money. Give the first 10% of everything and your needs in every area will be met. Give above the 10% and you will see increase.... Guaranteed!

The soil must be good soil. This means it must be something that is helping build the kingdom of God. The seed will not produce good results if it is sown into something destructive. My suggestion would be to pray about where God wants the seed to be planted.

I can assure you that this will be one of the hardest things to do. Especially with your money. But this is the one area that God allows us to test Him in. I did.

Let me share my testimony about learning this principle. I was a single mother who collected welfare. I just started going to church and the pastor was talking about tithing. I had just gotten a job at Burger King and had collected my last welfare check. I felt that I needed to try this thing. I had major doubts! Especially since I couldn't even come up with the rent! But, I decided to give it a try. About five days later, I was at my sister-in-laws house crying on her shoulder that I had absolutly nothing to give my children for Christmas. It was mid December and I had no tree and things looked pretty grim! She told me not to worry about a tree because one of her relatives had several fake ones in the basement of their house and she was sure that I could borrow one. Just then her phone rang. It was the manager at Burger King ( my sister-in-laws number was on my application as a reference). I took the phone  and she asked if I was busy on Wensday night. I asked what she needed and she stated that she needed someone to time her. When I asked why she stated that she had won a 10K shopping spree at Toys' R Us and wanted to share it with me! My children ended up with over $2000.00 worth of toys that year! It was the best Christmas ever! My rent somehow got paid and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that there really is a God!

Since then, every time I give the first fruits of our finances we are blessed with unexpected money and every time I forget, we get an unexpected bill! It never fails. Now I have it set up in my bank to pay the first 10% automatically, so the blessings keep on coming!
