5 Ways to Spice up your Cardio Workouts Vol. 1
Cardio exercise can get pretty boring, and you’re more likely to keep at something if you enjoy it. Below you will find 5 great ways to add some energy to your cardio workouts.
1. Take your Cardio outside: If you normally workout indoors, taking your cardio outside can really help breath life into your normal cardio routine.
2. Take the scenic route: If you’re used to running the same route every time you go outside, change it up. New scenery will help keep you interested.
3. Put together a great Playlist: I’m surprised at the number of people who still exercise without music. You can buy a really cheap and durable MP3 player on eBay and use it specifically for your workouts. Great music can really help push you through each and every workout.
4. Join a sports team: If you’re sick and tired of jogging or hitting the treadmill one of the easiest ways to change things up is to play a sport. Ball hockey, basketball, soccer, and touch football are some of the best team sports for cardio workouts.
5. Challenge Yourself: Challenge yourself to be better every workout, and keep track of the number of times you increase your workout time or decrease you lap time or whatever it is you’re challenging yourself to do. If at the end of the week you’ve met your goals for 3 out 5 days treat yourself to something on Sunday.
