Today I’m going to give you 5 more hot tips that’ll save you time, money and ultimately increase your sales.
Remember keeping your customers 100% happy, even after you’ve made the sale, is the most important part of the services you provide on eBay, because happy customers mean free advertising by word of mouth, fantastic feedback, and repeat customers.
Often you’ll find the best types of customers are repeat customers as they’ve already bought from you, trust you and easier to market to! So here are the final five hot tips for packaging your eBay goods and some great idea’s of what to put inside the parcels…..
• Print out labels through eBay with the customers name and address already printed on them. This will save you time writing out the customers details and can also eliminate any errors, possibly resulting in lost or damaged parcels. You can then simply sticky tape the label to the correct item or even print the labels straight out onto white stickers ready for shipping.
• Design and create your own business cards to include with each parcel. You can include your personal email address and website address for additional and future sales. You can even include a coupon voucher with the business card, offering discounts on future items for example: $5 off your next purchase, or free shipping on your next purchase. Just remember to also include any terms and conditions you may have, such as expiry dates, or excluding sale items or bulky goods.
• Include a promotional flyer with your parcel. You can create your own from scratch or even take advantage of eBay’s marketing tools. This is a great way to remind customers to think of you for their future purchases, and they can even pass them on to their friends and family if they’re happy with their new product and your customer service. It’s also a great place to nicely ask for feedback to be left for you if they’re happy with the product.
• It’s always a great idea to make your customer feel valued and appreciated. One of the cheapest and easiest ways to do this is to include a free gift in the parcel. It may be hand written thank-you note, a lolly or even something small that you might have surplus stock in. It’s also nice to include something reminiscent of the Holiday’s such as a candy cane or Easter egg etc.
• Ask your customer to leave you positive feedback to complete the sale. As most people will have a look at your feedback before purchasing an item off you, it’s important to remind your buyers to leave you positive feedback it they’re happy with the sale. You could write something along the lines of: “Please leave me positive feedback when you receive the item so I know it has safely arrived.” And it is OK to remind customers to leave positive feedback a few weeks after you’ve shipped the item, if they haven’t, as a lot of people will just simply forget and your feedback numbers are very important to your eBay business.
Well, I hope you’ve learnt at least a few new hot tips to save you money and most importantly your time.
You’ll soon discover that by putting in just a little bit of extra work before you send the package, you can save yourself more time in the long run and get yourself a never ending supply of loyal customers.
Until next week, keep selling, packaging well and smiling!
