Removing layers of soap scum from your non-marble bathroom sink and tub is easy as 1-2-3. Here are three essentials for accomplishing this challenging task.

  1. 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  2. 1/2 cup baking soda
  3. 1/2 cup 3 percent hydrogen peroxide

Use a dry paper towel to buff away as much hard water and soap residue as possible from chrome fixtures. Sprinkle a thick layer of baking soda over stubborn mineral deposits. Pour enough vinegar onto baking soda to create a clear, effervescent mixture. Note: Vinegar is a weak acid but will damage marble.  Let mixture sit for fifteen to thirty minutes. Spot treat minor mildew stains with a drop of hydrogen peroxide. Wait ten minutes. Wipe all surfaces clean with a paper towel.

Enjoy your new bathroom!
