Do you love art but don't have a lot of room on your walls? Collecting Art Cards is a FUN way to have TONS of art.... in your pocket! You buy original art from the artist in as many styles (Pop, Folk, Outsider, realism...) and mediums (Acrylic, Oils, Collage, Watercolor...) and colors as you like. Having a small budget is not a problem, no wall room is necesary either since you can collect your Art Cards in albums, or display them in tiny easels. You can also put them in your scrapbooks or "chunky books".

Traditionally the Art Cards were traded only among artists and it was a way to show styles and techniques before the time of photography and brochures. But later it turned into a collectible way for many artists to express ideas and experiment new things in a small format. Many people that are not painters wished to collect art that way -they are like jewls!- so they started to buy the cards, and participate in this wonderful pool or tiny art. Which is by the way as close as your keyboard!

The size is as varied as the subjects! There's any size in between 2x2, 2.5x3.5 to 4x4 squared art. 4x4 is a substancial size that gives a lot of room for the artist to creat, and is still small enough to carry along if you wish. There are standard frames for them too if you want to display them on the walls in groups!

Have you seen those fancy CD holders made out of leader? You can place 4x4 art cards in there and they look like a Miniature Museum.

If you haven't started yet, you have to take a look. Search for Art Squared and you'll see a wonderful international growing collection of high quality art that you'll want to carry in your purse to share with all.

My ID is passion4colour. I paint and collect Art Cards.
