Hi Girls and Fellow Shoes Addicts.  If you are looking for fun, yet professional, heels, pumps, peep toes, whatever, for your office job, I highly recommend Steve Madden, Nine West, BCBGirls, Rampage, M.O.D., and for the creative girls, Irregular Choice.  Steve Madden is by far my all time favorite, although I must say I am very disappointed with its website this past year, the available selection, and most importantly, the huge increase in price.  But, the good news is that there are tons are Steve Madden shoes available on ebay and in fact, there are several sellers which specialize in selling only Steve Madden shoes.  If you'd like to know who, let me know, as I'm not sure I'm allowed to post their names here.

You can get such great deals on ebay (as most of you probably know!)  If the Steve Madden shoes you want retail for $89.99, you can easily get them on ebay for $20 (plus shipping of course).  I've gotten brand new SM shoes for $10.00 before!  So if you see that fab pair at the mall or a SM store, hold off and check ebay first.  I always find them here.  I just took a rough count of my Steve Madden shoes only and I have about 55 pairs - 45 of which I probably got off ebay.  (I also like Coach shoes, but those are more expensive).

SM (including the "Steven" Collection) is known for its platform sandals, clogs and tennis shoes, but also makes fabulous pumps, heels, slingbacks, and peeptoes.  The shoes are professional, yet trendy and cute.  There are rounded toes and pointed toes.  Some have bows on the vamp; others have gromets or beads.  You can spend hours doing a search on ebay if you run a search under your size.

Most importantly, Steve Madden shoes run small - about 1/2 size smaller than usual.  For example, if you always wear an 8, get an 8.5.  However, this is only true about 90% of the time (as I have found a few SM styles that were true to size), and is also not true of the "Steven" line which is more true to size.  But this all depends on your foot size and shape (and whether you can deal with a super tight shoe the first few times you wear it).  If you aren't sure what size you are in Steve Madden, just try them on at the store.  You can always ask the ebay seller, but they aren't always sure if a shoe is true to size or not, and again, it could vary by style (and of course, when buying sandals or something that has an open back, you have more leeway than with a closed pump).  You can also check online websites to read the reviews that people have written - this has proven very helpful not only for determine whether a shoe is true to size, but also whether the shoe is comfortable, slips off your foot, etc.

I also recommend Nine West shoes, also plentifully available on ebay for a huge discount - a discount better than outlet store prices.  Nine West makes several cute and stylish slingbacks that are great for those summer office jobs which don't let you wear sandals (like mine!).

For those that like "different" and "unique" shoes, definitely check out the brand Irregular Choice.  I've never seen any other shoe line like this one at these prices.  You have to check them out to understand what I need.  While I haven't seen them on ebay too much, there is a certain online shoe store (Zap...) that carries them.  I have a few pairs and they are always an eye catcher.

Even if your employer doesn't let you wear sandals, or even peeptoes, there are tons of closed-toed pumps/heels out there that are still cute and fun, even for the summer.  And ebay is by far the best place to get them.

Happy shoe shopping!
