I wanted to share with you my experiance of building the 2000 #4 NAVY Kodak Monte Carlo driven by Bobby Hamliton SR using JWTBM Waterslide decals.
The build went pretty easy and straight forward. I used a Revell Monogram #3 Goodwrench Service Monte Carlo as a donor kit. Painted the interior and chassis gray using KRYLON Pewter Gray. Since all the grafics needed are on the decal, the body is a single color which was painted Testor's Racing colors #4 KODAK Yellow and the hood stayed white since the decal provided covers it.
The JWTBM waterslide decals were pretty easy to apply. The one piece hood decal laid down nicely with a little help of some decal setting solution.
Other than the hood, the rest of the decals laid down nicely with no problems.
This was a easy build for me to do and as you can see turns into a good looking race car. The car that ran in the 2000 Daytona 500 had RED rim's, I chose to put black rim's on this build but my next build of this car using the 2000-2002 resin replacement Monte Carlo Nose Piece with Kick-out will have red rims.
If you are looking for something different to build and want to support our troops, keep this car in mind.
