We won and paid for immediately a Whirlpool Microhood (retailing for $350) on May 17th, 2006. Shipping time was good - shipping condition was not. Item was damaged due to VERY BAD packaging by their shipping dept. I phoned 5 times the day we received it - got disconnected every time. I sent several emails - with no response. Two weeks later - I got thru via phone and finally rec'd response. Sent pics of damaged item and lack of packing materials.
Unit was also missing mounting hardware/brackets - which was not noted in sale.
Finally got a call tag from them (after refusing to pay for S/H back since it was their mistake) and they've had my money and the microhood back for two weeks - still no response. We're still waiting on replacement - over TWO MONTHS later. All we have is the hole in the wall waiting to be filled for 3 months now.
TERRIBLE Customer Service. The phone rings, but no one answers. Send emails, no one answers those either.
I was told (by them) that the problem was in their shipping department which has a high turnover and one particular employee that did not know how to package items for shipment. Plus they were moving to a different location, which should fix everything. The next two calls were useless as their "computer system was down - call back tomorrow".
To say the least - we're MORE than unhappy with this transaction......to be continued.
Be sure to ask ALOT of questions before purchasing from this company!
