Making your own baby wrap is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- First pick out your fabric. My favorites are cotton crinkle type gauzes, batiks, or any light weight cotton that has no right or wrong side. You will need about 5 yards, you can get away with a little less but, I find that 5 yards is perfect for both dad and mom. You can often find fabric on sale or even use a coupon.
- Cut your fabric in half lengthwise, you could even make a start at one end and rip it (this method may not be as effective on synthetic materials). You should now have two pieces of fabric 5 yards long.
- With a serger or sewing machine add a hem(no larger than 1/2") to all four sides of your wrap. This will give it a very attractive finished edge.
You are finished!
Enjoy wearing your baby anywhere and everywhere!
