Loyal 24 Fans - Beware.  24 Season 5 is not due out until December 5.

Right now, this is what is selling on ebay.

These are bootlegs with extremely high shipping fees, and the sellers are allegedly from Virginia Beach, VA; Muncie, Indiana; Willimantic, Connecticut; Pittsburgh, PA; California, Kentucky, and Alabama.  They have even gone so far as to change the city and state, but forget to change the ebay user ID.  Just to show you how silly these folks are, today, there was one of these bootlegs listed and the seller is from the United Kingdom and these folks didn't pay attention and changed the city and state to Pittsburgh, PA.  If you read the description carefully, it states we use "EMS Parcel Force" Shipping.  The U.S. doesn't have EMS Parcel Force Shipping. The Asian market does.

If you were to scan all of the descriptions, you will note that they are from different sellers, yet the descriptions with backgrounds vary between five different ones. The description states to contact them if you have any questions.  Only problem is, you can't because the ID's are stolen, particularly ones with very high feedback numbers, so you wouldn't think twice about questioning it.  An easy way to determine these bootlegs are the descriptions state: "this is a fantastic opportunity to own every episope;" another has purple shaded boxes throughout; another has an artists pallet; another appears to have a background of a book, beach and/or roadmap signs layout, and another shows a movie strip.

Also beware of the "Pay Pal Account Required" and "we accept Western Union and Bank Trancefer."  These folks have managed to bypass the ebay and paypal systems and the payment goes to someone else, usually at a hotmail address, but you don't find this out until after you have made the payment.   I have attempted to contact my seller through the various e-mail addresses provided by paypal receipts and ebay, and to my surprise (not) my attempts at contact continue to bounce back as "cannot reach recipient, server doesn't recognize name."

I ran the UPC (I worked in sales) which is located on the back of these DVD boxes and it is invalid.  Secondly, when I played the "brand new factory sealed" DVD, the Fox logo and the TV 14 logo shows up on the screen.  In addition, the intermission tick tocks are choppy and it is obvious that this was recorded while the show was running, stopped for the commercials and restarted again.

Beware, don't get ripped off like I did.  The last disk doesn't work - it is blank.

If you have found this information to be helpful, please vote for its helpfulness.  Thank you.
