Dear Fellow Collectors,

This info is a guide to advise you all of the latest news regarding the state quarters program by the mint and their new plan to continue this adventure for the collectors.

In 2009 the U.S. Mint will be issuing 6 new quarters to be included in the state quarter series. The Philadelphia & Denver Mints will be issuing Uncirculated quarters in 2009 for Washington D.C. and the other 5 U.S. territories that the United States owns, (PR, American Samoa, etc). The San Francisco Mint will release the Proof versions.

There will also be new albums and folders issues by H.E. Harris & Whitman for the collectors to obtain so they may keep up with the series. For those of you that use the state quarter maps Harris has already issued new maps and these are now available to the public. If you have trouble finding these please feel free to email us and we will be happy to help.

Currently there is a bill in the U.S. Goverment to start a new quarter program in 2010 featuring the U.S. National Parks. This would be a great series to pick up where the State Quarters program leaves off. At this time it has not been determined as to how many quarters would be released a year if this is approved by congress, but we are assuming at this time that they will keep with the same format and issue 5 a year. It was given to us in a press release that Philadelphia & Denver would continue to handle the Uncirculated issues with San Francisco handling the Proof Issues.
