Upper Deck pulled the tarp off of the first of the SPX rookie redemption cards, announcing that San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum (card #106) will be the first card revealed in the program.
Upper Deck has revealed that the fourth player in their SPx Mystery Rookie Redemption program will be Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey (card #113). Each SPX Baseball mystery rookie redemption card will be autographed.
Upper Deck has revealed that the fifth player in their SPx Mystery Rookie Redemption program will be Minnesota Twins pitcher Kevin Slowey (card #118). Each SPX Baseball mystery rookie redemption card will be autographed.
Upper Deck has revealed that the sixth player in their SPx Mystery Rookie Redemption program will be Milwaukee Brewers third basemen Ryan Braun (card #120). Each SPX Baseball mystery rookie redemption card will be autographed.
****NEW***Upper Deck has revealed that the seventh player in their SPx Mystery Rookie Redemption program will be Boston Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka (card #128). Upper Deck is currently working on securing an autograph deal with the pitcher. If an agreement can not reached before production begins, each redemption card will be replaced with a rookie triple jersey memorabilia card featuring the star pitcher.
***NEW***Upper Deck has revealed that the eighth and final player in their SPx Mystery Rookie Redemption program will be Houston Astros outfielder Hunter Pence (card #137).
Each SPX Baseball mystery rookie redemption card will be autographed. 2007 SPX Baseball hit hobby stores today (SRP $19.99). UD will announce each week a new rookie redemption player until all players have been revealed.
