The world's largest comic book-themed convetion, the San Diego Comic Con, runs from Wednesday (Preview Night), July 25th until Sunday, July 29th.  Approximately 150,000 people will roam the convention center aisles during these 5 days.  Many are there to get an autograph from their favorite artist, find an elusive comic book, attend a TV or movie panel, or simply to soak in the atmosphere with its myriad of costumed convention goers. 

The most popular activity of all? Collecting the Comic Con Exclusives!  These exclusives are products that the manufacturers and retailers sell exclusively at the comic book convention.  These exclusives have fueled the boom of the convention's popularity as people from around the world come to the convention just to purchase these items. They are so popular that just about all of the exclusives have a purchase limit per attendee, which is only one in most cases.  The more popular exclusives from the likes of Wizkids, Gentle Giant, and Mattel actually require a lottery, where the prize is the right to purchase an exclusive!

Of course, since these products are so limited and can be difficult to obtain (plus the high cost of attending the convention itself), they are always in high demand and sell for a profit on eBay and other secondary markets/outlets.

I'm not sure when or who started marketing convention exclusive products, but since I started attending the Comic Con six years ago, the number of convention exclusives has grown every year!

For those of you attending Comic Con or who are searching for these items on eBay, this is a list of the confirmed exclusives for the 2007 San Diego Comic Con.  The list will be updated as additional details (production run, booth location and additional confirmations) become available.
