2007 Hot Wheels Mystery Car Information

Anyone that says 'treasure hunt' in their listing when they sell a mystery car is a liar!

For 2007, Hot Wheels has released a new concept in packaging - the mystery car. These cars are packaged with a black opaque blister pack, so the car packaged inside cannot be seen. What is inside? It is not a big mystery, and it is NOT a treasure hunt car.

There are 24 mystery cars for 2007. These cars are only available in the mystery car packaging. No other cars will be found inside the mystery car package other than these 24. If you want to assemble a complete set of these 24 mystery cars, you will obviously have to buy many more in the store and deal with the duplicates that you get after you open the packages. Also, different cars will be released throughout the year - you cannot get all the cars without continued trips to the store throughout the year.

All Hot Wheels cars for each year are given a number; for 2007 the mystery cars are numbered from 157-180. Whereas normal Hot Wheels list the number of the car on the package (for example 003/211 means that the car is #003 and there are 211 cars to be released that year), the mystery cars clearly show you will be getting one of the 24 cars by the way they list the number: 157-180/180.

It is still possible that some of the mystery cars will be rarer or more desireable than others. Hot Wheels may decide to release far fewer of one particular mystery car, and demand may be higher for a particular style, based on individual taste. This has yet to be determined.
