They are here! After having placed my order back in early August. It finally arrived. My very own 20th anniversary American Eagle set. The 3 coin set is a prime example of the Mints ability turn out a flawless product. The Silver Card board box that houses the special case creates a true sense of value for this precious set. The coin case itself is black beautifully lacquered to a high gloss finish. The lid is a nicely textured embossed leather. Although presentation is admirable, the true catch is within the Velvet lining.

The dark lining contrasts The coins. The proof coin shows a beautiful lady liberty draped in a flag as Adolph A. Weinman originally intended. The image seems as if it floats on the surface. The frostiness of the image is inspiring. It is reminiscent of a time of American ideals. The eagle on the reverse is a majestic reminder of these United States. The uncirculated coin is stunning; it's luster is dazzling. The cartwheel is what will leave an indelible impression. Finally, the reverse proof is what makes the set. The frosty fields make the sparkle of liberty the jewel of our national heritage, a sight to behold. It marks a celebration of  the US mints numismatic commitment to excellence.

The Uncirculated and the Proof Eagles are marked with the W mint mark and are produced at Westpoint mint. The Reverse Proof Eagle has the P mint mark and wise coined in Philadelphia. The Set is limited to 250,000 units. this is a great long term or short term investment. In addition to being beautifully struck coins.

These coins can be acquired here on ebay and through private dealers. They are in the $300-400 range. I did sell a set in May for $550, but the prices seem to have settled in . These coins will hold their value over the years.  If you manage to score a set for less than $275, then consider yourself lucky. Hope this has been helpful to you and Happy Hunting!
