By the Box:
Packs Per Box: 5
Cards Per Pack: 4
Cards Per Box: 20
Set Completion: 6 percent (9 of 160)
Duplicates: 1
What I Pulled
10 base cards
5 Autographs: Yan Stastny, Bobby Clarke, Neal Broten, Paul Henderson, Danny Gare
5 Memorabilia cards: My Country, My Team Chris Chelios, Best of the Best Jaromir Jagr, Game-Used Stick and Jersey Ray Bourque, Game-Used Emblem Phil Esposito, Canadian Dream Team Bobby Hull
I Say: It's early, but the bar's been set pretty high for the 2006-07 season by International Ice. A great—and long overdue—concept that was realized almost to perfection, ITG II gives fans of the international play the photos and the players they want to see. Our break may not be typical, but the star power of the memorabilia cards alone was a mind-blower—three Hall of Famers and two more players who will be. The autographs were all stickers, but again, the caliber of players was top-notch—certainly enough value to overlook the duplicate base card of Cristobal Huet. After busting one comp box of International Ice, I'm ready to open up the wallet and spend some of my own money on this stuff. Considering how cheap I am, that's saying something.
