I Say: "H&P2 is what it is—a specialty product that'll wow some collectors and leave others cold.

"On the plus side is some great photography…well, not always great quality-wise, but great in the sense that ITG managed to dig up some very rare images of veteran stars like Steve Yzerman, Ron Hextall and Patrick Roy from their junior and minor league days. You won't find this stuff anywhere else.

"The rest of the base set features a number of guys you might not yet be familiar with, but based on ITG's track record for nailing prospects, you will be soon. That makes it a great product for those who love learning about the game.

"The insert quota of one memorabilia card and two autographs per box is pretty compelling, although what we pulled from this box wasn't much. The two autographs are of players unlikely to have any NHL impact, and while the Coleman memorabilia card did offer a two-color swatch, he's an NHL backup at best. No home runs here. Let's call it three singles.

"All in all, H&P2 delivers as expected. If prospects are your cup of tea, you're sure to enjoy it."
