I am a proud owner of a 2000 -P71 bought from the CHP Sac office. Dark blue in and out. It was what they call a administrative series vehicle, never saw patrol time or pursuit. I really enjoy this car, I've owned it for about a year now. it came with 113 thsd miles and now has 146. I am very satisfied with its preformance and build. The only thing I can say bad about it is the squeak of the plastic on the door/inside near the handles and arm rest. Other than that I drive from the Eastbay/Hayward CA to the SF Airport where I work mid watch and the ride is smooth. Its so smooth that drivinng with the widows partialy down and the A/C on is a must beacause the seats are so comfortable, I keep a full pack of gum handy also. Those rummors about people moving over when your on the freeway are true. A true classic of American automobiles. This is the first vehicle I have bought for my self and I have no regrets. My Dad and father-n-law were so impressed when they individually took my P71 for a drive that we have gone back to the CHP office twice so they could get thier own. My trip to work is 25mi one way, on a average of 25/30 minutes (bay area traffic) if I am runing late i've pushed my trip as short as 12-15 minutes. (people do move out of your way when you're driving a P71 in the fast lane)
